Mary Melling also a co-founder of the Paddington Clinic completed her training as a medical herbalist in 1981. Since then her studies have continued in the field of naturopathy and in 1995 she completed her 4-year training as an acupuncturist. Mary's practice is a synthesis of naturopathic principles and Chinese Medicine. She originally trained in England as a teacher and has combined this training with her years of clinical experience to teach at the Australian College of Natural Medicine. She has lectured at this college since 1984 and as a senior lecturer she has been involved in teaching the advanced students in herbal medicine. She has also been a guest speaker on several occasions at international conferences on Herbal Medicine. Her recent studies have focussed more on Japanese acupuncture with regular visits to Japan.

Peter Delaney a co-founder of the clinic has a background in Traditional Chinese Medicine, including both acupuncture and Chinese herbs. He has studied with many prominent teachers from around the world and uses an extensive treatment repertoire. Peter has studied in China and lectured on various occasions in England. He was chairman of the Board for 3 years for one of Brisbane's leading Chinese Medicine Schools. His recent studies have focussed more on Japanese acupuncture with regular visits to Japan and for the last 8 years co-ordinated Japanese Acupuncture courses for practitioners in Brisbane.

Debbie Leigh began her career as a massage therapist in 1980. Whilst working in this field she completed her Degree in Medical Herbalism and Naturopathy. In 1988 Debbie joined the team at Paddington Clinic. Her naturopathic practice includes pre and post conception advice, on-going pregnancy support and postnatal care. Debbie's clinical skills include: diagnostics' such as, hemaview analysis, iridology and hair analysis. Her therapies encompass: Herbal Medicine, dietetics, massage, vitamin, minerals and specific supplements.

Sue Fittell completed her Associate Diploma of Massage Therapy in 1991 and has been working as our Massage Therapist since February 2000. For several years, she ran her own clinic at the Hilton Hotel and her wealth of experience in all aspects of massage is highly regarded in that field. Sue has also completed her training in the use of the Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM), which has been primarily used for pain management. FSM has been found to have much wider cosmetic applications and accordingly, Sue offers treatment for revitalising and relaxing the face and neck muscles to restore an overall look of youth. Sue has also qualified as a Yoga Practitioner. She teaches her clients yoga techniques, if requested; which is part of a preventative health program to help relax and strengthen the body.

Rachel joined the team at Paddington Clinic in 2004. She trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine, specialising in acupuncture, and then expanded her practice to incorporate Japanese acupuncture. Rachel has trained in two styles of Japanese acupuncture, Toyo Hari and the Manaka Protocols. These studies have led her to further training in Japan. Rachel is currently studying Western herbal medicine to add to her repertoire. She has experience in treating people from a wide range of backgrounds, including refugees, through her work with the Queensland Program of Assistance for Survivors of Torture and Trauma. Rachel offers Japanese and Chinese acupuncture, Chinese herbs, nutritional support and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage.

Joel is the most recent Acupuncture practitioner to join us at the Paddington Clinc. With both parents working as natural health practitioners, he has grown up with a lifetime of exposure to natural medicine. He also has a background in sport and fitness; studying at the University of Queensland he completed a sports science degree. Joel is a practitioner of both Japanese and Chinese acupuncture as well as Tui Na (Traditional Chinese Massage Therapy)

Sue Lester has joined Paddington Clinic as a Master NLP Practitioner with a passion for helping women and couples release blocks and fears around conception, pregnancy, birth and the first twelve months of parenthood. NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) has tools and techniques which empower people to make the conscious and unconscious changes they need to regain control of their lives, and live their potential. NLP can be used to make lasting changes in all areas of life, including health, finances, relationships, business and for clearing phobias and smoking addiction. Sue originally trained as a teacher, graduating with a Diploma of Teaching from Brisbane C.A.E. and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Queensland and in recent years ran mentoring programs for disadvantaged youth. She now combines her skills and experience to run a variety of pre-conception workshops. Sue also has a Master certification in Ericksonian Hypnosis, and is trained in Reiki healing. Sue believes in the holistic Mind-Body-Spirit approach to health and well-being.
